March 9, 2009 | In: Tips & Tricks
So, you got a new computer with Windows on it, probably Vista by this point. But even with Windows XP your computer probably still comes where you have to double click on icons on your desktop. What a pain. Some people always double click on desktop icons not knowing they can single click saving them time. One of the questions I get very frequently is how to I single click on the icons like on my old computer.
Windows Vista Way
First, you need to open a folder.
- Click on the Start button and open the Documents folder.
- Then click on Organize and the following menu will pop up.
- Lastly, go to the third option…Click items as follows and click on Single-click to open and item (point to select).
Windows XP Way
- Click on the Start Menu, open My Documents.
- Now you choose the Tools Menu. Click on Folder Options.
Once again, go to the third option…Click items as follows and click on Single-click to open and item (point to select).
I hope this little tip helps save you a little time. Do you have a simple tip you would like to share?
